Introducing HeroDistrict!

Some of you might have picked up on HeroDistrict. It’s a site that spun off from another site of mine HumorDistrict, HumorDistrict was all about Film and TV news, humour etc. The head writer at the time Jordan Gonzales [@gonzo032] (who’s written for Today.com, Examiner.com, and BamKapow.com) proposed a spin off site dedicated to just comic books which is something he’s obsessed about. I’ve always been a pretty big Batman fan, that’s as far as it went, but I was keen. I set the site up and off we set. 

The site doesn’t get nearly as much traffic as HumorDistrict but it’s definitely something both Jordan and I are proud of. Jordan posts the comic book news, reviews and has a weekly review of the latest comic book hero toy he just purchased which fan boys go nuts for. He also attended the San Diago Comic Con, so there was some footage and news from the event as well. While I pitch in with the odd video game or movie news, trailer, clip etc. 

Reading Jordan’s posts as well as posts from guests he’s organised I now have a better understanding of comic books as well as a respect for an industry and fans that I knew little about a few months ago. Since then I’ve been pointed to characters, books, documentaries, and movies I’ve never heard of. Just last night I downloaded and watched Batman: Under the Red Hood, a full length animated Batman movie that no kid should ever watch. In one word “Amazing”. Expect the review from a n00b soon.
